Critical Commentary

In the Integrated Science and Technology program at James Madison University, students are required to take a foundations course on "Technology, Science, and Society." In this course, learning objectives include learning some basic STS concepts (e.g., social construction, technological determinism, technological momentum) and applying ethical reasoning to questions of science and technology. In York's sections, the students' final project involves them creating design fiction. This assignment outlines the key components of the assignment.
