Science, relativism and the new sociology of technology: reply to russell

Trevor Pinch and Weibe Bijker are the foundational fathers of the quasi-discipline of science and technologies.  as great visionaries, they are open to new ideas and always welcomed interdisciplinary approach along with the stress of a more inclusive, beyond border approach to include knowledge systems from different parts of the world.   their ideas of social constructivism and relativism of technology paved a new way to understand technology rather than an offshoot of science. they redefined the sociology of science and started new  sociology of technology. they are the few among the geniuses who unpacked the myth of technological determinism and technological apocalypse which was very much a heated topic
