Critical Commentary

This piece was originally prepared for the international workshop "Life under Influence" held at the Maison Franco-Japonaise in Tokyo, on February 21, 2014. Drawing from the experimental work of cybernetics, virology, computational science as well as from Gilbert Simondon's philosophy, the author proposes not less than redefining "Life" on the basis of the notion of virus.
